Highlight a passage. Write a note on it.

What it does

A note belongs to its verse

Select a verse and write. The passage stays highlighted, and your note waits beside it. Open the chapter a year later and the note is still on the words that prompted it.

Studies hold a thread together

A study is a named set of notes. Put one note in it or a hundred. Reorder them, read them as a list, and jump from any note back to the chapter.

Search runs on your device

Type words and get verses. Type a reference and go straight there. The index lives in the browser, so results come back without a round trip to a server.

It reads well on a phone

One column, one measure, and a serif built for long reading. Install it to the home screen and it opens like an app. The text is already on the device, so a lost signal changes nothing.

What you get

• Six translations

All public domain: the King James Version and five more. Switch between them from the top bar.

• Strong's for the King James

Tap a word to see its Strong's number, the lexicon entry, and every other verse that uses the same word.

• Offline

The Bible text downloads once. After that the app opens and searches with no network.

• No account

There is no sign-up. Open the app and start reading.

• No tracking

No analytics, no ads, no third-party scripts. Nothing follows you between visits.

• Your notes stay on your device

Notes are written to the browser's own storage. Nothing leaves it until you turn on syncing, and then only to where you chose.

• A real Mac app

The same reader, in its own window, with the Bible inside the download. Open it from the Dock and start reading.

Want to manage your own storage? Sync to an S3 bucket that you control.
